Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 cups long grain rice


  • 2 nos cinnamon


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 8 nos cloves


  • 6 nos green cardamom


  • 1 tbsp black pepper corn


  • 3/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tsp sugar


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 2 tbsp pure ghee


  • 3 tbsp refined oil


  • 1/2 cups dry fruits (optional)

Directions

  • Wash rice thoroughly and keep in a strainer for drain
  • Now dry up rice on clean cloth in fan air
  • Heat oil and ghee together in a heavy bottom pan on high flame
  • Reduce heat on medium heat
  • Now add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, green cardamom, blackpepper in oil and fry till aroma comes out
  • Put rice in the pan and fry till light brown colour
  • Stir several times to save from burn
  • Now boil 4 cup water in a cooker on high flame
  • Add turmeric powder, sugar, salt and fried rice in water
  • Now close the lid of the cooker and wait till pressure becomes
  • Now reduce heat on low flame
  • After 2 whistle switch off gas stove
  • Let it cool down naturally
  • Open lid of cooker,Now take out rice from cooker and keep it in a casserole
  • ,Garnish with dry fruits if you want
